Frequently Asked Questions
All wine shipments require an adult (21+) signature by law, so FedEx and UPS can’t leave the package at your doorstep like they would a pair of sneakers or a skincare order. If you won’t be home, we suggest shipping to a daytime business address or a trusted friend who works from home, or using UPS My Choice to manage delivery options.
There’s no separate membership or sign-up fee. You are simply billed for the wines in each shipment, plus your flat-rate shipping and applicable taxes.
Undergrad Subscription shipments start at 3 bottles, with $25 flat-rate shipping, and because you can customize and add wines anytime, the total may vary depending on what you choose.
Graduate Wine Club shipments always include 6 bottles curated seasonally by our team and typically average around $350–$450 per shipment (including $35 flat-rate shipping).
Members are always welcome to add additional favorites to their shipment as well.

Yes — the Undergrad Subscription is built for flexibility. You can swap or update your selections before each order processes.
Yes — Graduate Club Members can make adjustments to their seasonal shipments up to two weeks before they’re scheduled to process, either through your member account on our website or by emailing info@rootsrundeep.com. However, most members love experiencing the curated selection as designed by our team (and adding a few extra favorites along the way).
Your subscription runs on the schedule you choose starting from your sign-up date. For example, if you join on June 5 and select every 2 months, your next shipment will process around August 5.
Absolutely. You can pause, skip, or adjust your schedule anytime — no long-term commitment.
Yes — Graduate members may skip up to one shipment per year if needed. The club is designed as a seasonal experience, so most members choose to stay with the full shipment calendar to enjoy the complete curated lineup.
No problem — we recommend shipping to an address where someone 21+ can sign for delivery (like a workplace or a trusted friend). You can also update your shipping address in your member account or reach out to us ahead of time at info@rootsrundeep.com, and we’ll help coordinate the best option before your shipment goes out.
The earlier you let us know, the more flexibility we have — we always have the most options before an order is processed and packed.
In some cases, we may be able to ship early upon request or delay your ship date — just reach out as soon as possible.
Once a package leaves our fulfillment center, delivery timing is largely in the carrier’s hands. For the most flexibility, we recommend creating a UPS My Choice account, which allows you to request delivery holds, hold for pickup at a UPS location, or reroute to a new address.
Please note: additional shipping fees may apply if an order needs to be recalled or reshipped.
Go for it! Member perks apply year-round. Orders placed outside of your scheduled shipments still receive your membership discounts and flat-rate shipping.
Membership Policies + Shipping States
Shipping Wine
Adult signature (21+) is required for all wine deliveries. We recommend shipping to a business address when possible. Wine cannot be shipped to P.O. Boxes.
Graduate Wine Club Commitment
Graduate membership is a seasonal program with a four-shipment annual cadence. Members may skip up to one shipment per year if needed. Cancellation requests must be made in writing at least 30 days prior to the next scheduled shipment.
